More than a project, a commitment to african languages
Les Langues de Chez Nous was born from a simple conviction: African languages deserve their place in today's world. We develop educational resources and digital solutions to help preserve, learn and pass them on to future generations.

Our Story
Every meaningful project begins with a simple question. Ours was: why are african languages becoming increasingly difficult to pass on?

A language does not disappear overnight. It fades away when a generation grows up without learning or using it.
That realization inspired the creation of Les Langues de Chez Nous. We quickly understood that preserving languages requires more than documentation. It also means creating practical tools, educational resources and a community that keeps them alive every day.
Today, we are building an ecosystem that combines education, technology and community engagement to help African languages be spoken, learned and shared-for today's generation and tomorrow's.
Our Commitment
We envision a future where African languages are naturally spoken, learned and shared- in homes, schools and the digital world.

Preserving our heritage
We document and preserve African languages so they continue to live across generations.

Through AKILANG, we develop innovative digital solutions that make African languages accessible in everyday digital life.
Passing languages on through modern tools
We create books, educational games and learning resources that make African languages enjoyable to discover and share.
Building the digital future
Growing a Community
We bring together translators, partners and language enthusiasts around one shared mission: keeping African languages alive.
A movement that grows thanks to everyone who joins us
Every book created, every translation completed and every new language documented helps future generations reconnect with their linguistic heritage.
